🖍️ God Rested: Creation Day 7 Colouring Page
Genesis 2:1–3 · ages 3–8 · free, no sign-up
A free printable Bible colouring page (coloring page, if you're in the US!) of God Rested, from Genesis 2:1–3. It has a memory verse and three talk-about-it questions printed under the picture, so it works at home, in Sunday school or in kids' church. Print as many as you need.
The story (Genesis 2:1–3)
In six days God made everything: light, sky, sea, land, plants, sun, moon, stars, fish, birds, animals and people. When it was all finished, God looked at everything he had made and saw that it was very good. On the seventh day, God rested. He made that day special and holy. Rest is a gift from God, a time to slow down, enjoy his world and spend time with the people we love.
Memory verse
“He rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had done.”
(Genesis 2:2, World English Bible, public domain)
Talk about it
- Why do you think God rested?
- What is your favourite way to rest?
- How can your family enjoy a rest day together?
