🖍️ Pray Like a Mantis: Free Bible Colouring Page
Genesis 1:24–25 · ages 3–8 · free, no sign-up
A free printable Bible colouring page (coloring page, if you're in the US!) of Pray Like a Mantis, from Genesis 1:24–25. It has a memory verse and three talk-about-it questions printed under the picture, so it works at home, in Sunday school or in kids' church. Print as many as you need.
The story (Genesis 1:24–25)
A praying mantis is a little green insect that folds its front legs together, just like hands held up to pray. God made the mantis, and every tiny creature, on the sixth day of creation, and he said it was good. When we see a mantis sitting so still on a leaf, it can remind us to stop and talk to God too. We can pray anywhere, any time, about anything at all.
Memory verse
“God made the animals of the earth after their kind... God saw that it was good.”
(Genesis 1:25, World English Bible, public domain)
Talk about it
- What's the smallest creature you've ever seen?
- Why do we call it a praying mantis?
- What would you like to talk to God about today?
