The story (Luke 1:26–38)
In the little town of Nazareth lived a young woman named Mary. One day God sent the angel Gabriel to visit her with amazing news. Gabriel told Mary not to be afraid, because God was pleased with her. She was going to have a baby boy, God's own Son, and she should name him Jesus. Mary wondered how this could happen, but the angel said nothing is impossible for God. Mary trusted God and said yes.
Memory verse
“You will conceive in your womb and give birth to a son, and shall name him ‘Jesus.’”
(Luke 1:31, World English Bible, public domain)
