The story (John 12:12–15)
A few days before Easter, Jesus rode into the city of Jerusalem on a young donkey. Crowds of people had heard he was coming, and they rushed out to meet him. They waved palm branches and laid their coats on the road like a royal carpet. Everyone shouted, Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord! They were welcoming Jesus as their King, just as God had promised long ago.
Memory verse
“Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!”
(John 12:13, World English Bible, public domain)
